Mechanical Design Engineer

Full Time

Epsilon Pharmaservices offer design and project management services to the pharmaceutical industry including equipment and process upgrades. Our clients include many blue-chip organisations and we currently have a position available for a full time Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team based near Lutterworth.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be involved with projects at any stage of their design, development, testing and implementation. During these phases of work they should ensure that the project is managed in a safe and professional manner.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum HNC Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) Epsilon happy to fund further educational training
  • AutoCAD desirable but training can be provided
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office packages
  • Attention to detail
  • Proactive and able to use own initiative
  • Flexible approach
  • Eligible to work in the UK

Role Responsibilities

  • Carry out site surveys
  • Ascertain the availability and position of required services
  • Establish location of equipment and determine suitable routes for interconnections
  • Take site measurements and gather information needed to produce drawings
  • Produce and update General Arrangement and Detail Drawings through all stages of a project, ensuring that these are revised and recorded appropriately
  • Issue As Built drawings on project completion
  • Specify component details and suppliers to enable purchase orders to be raised
  • Build and installation of equipment
  • Collate information to assist with producing installation manuals for clients
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety and quality management
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role
